Well it is over for another year, but what a year we had! The best weather for years on a camp. I think we had about 5 minutes of rain all week. The marquee was put away completely dry for once.
We welcomed a few new children & staff this year which is great so we had a fairly large camp. Thanks again to Nicky and Miranda for organising again and for Adrian’s catering. Also thanks to all the kids who came and behaved so well and made the camp so fabulous.
Latrine
We had two latrines – one of which was impressively deep. So luxurious that even Adnan wanted to use it! No more long hikes to nearby towns or walks to the BP garage…
Top group sleepout
No long hike this year but the top group had a very enjoyable sleep out by the stone circle near the old youth hostel.
End of week show
We had some amazing singing by Helena and Vicky. Watch out for them on the charts in the future. Rye did some funny jokes and silly stuff, Mick performed two songs and the second one was at least 15% better than the first. Some amazing fire related performances by Ariel & Sunny – The Younger. The Yak made its usual appearance all the way from Tibet.
